We are fundraising for a great cause
Type 1 hasn’t been cured yet so Liam and I are going to spend some of our ISO time raising funds, I hope you can join us! Liam was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just after his 3rd birthday. It really is a terrible disease and our Liam has to endure numerous finger pricks, sensor changes, line changes and being woken up in the middle of the night to allow Melissa and I to feed him, just to keep him healthy and his sugar levels stable (to not do so could be life threatening).
So, I’m doing the JDRF One Ride to raise funds for Type 1 Diabetes! This means I will be riding from 29th Aug to 20th September alongside the world’s biggest cycling event in France. While I am challenging myself and competing against other cyclists, I am also raising funds to support research to cure, prevent and better treat Type 1 Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes can strike anyone at any time, and 7 Australians are diagnosed every day. Diagnosis means a 24/7 fight with no break and facing an extra 180 decisions a day to remain safe and healthy. JDRF is the largest funder of Type 1 Diabetes research in the world.
DONATE NOW to help change the lives of more than 120,000 Australians living with T1D. Thank you!
