Riding 160km's to change lives

Here we go again!

Well for the last 5,940 days, Baden has been living with diabetes. That's  in excess of 16 years.  It's a tough job and he handles it so well. I can only live in hope that one day he can be completely free of this horrible condition. And so I will do what I can to raise some money, and push myself to ride 160 kms in one day, in the hope that by raising dollars and furthering the research, a cure will be found.

Big day out!

Saturday 27th Jan
Biggest ride completed yesterday. We made the most of the public holiday. Hoping for quieter roads, we rode to Gnomesville, then on to Lowden, through Donnybrook, Boyanup and back home to Bunbury. We ended up doing nearly 135km. I had hoped for 140km but some of the roads I had planned taking turned out to be gravel when we actually got there!! No gravel riding for road bikes. 
Foot problem is better but not sorted - still trying for possible solutions. Three weeks and it will be done. Now on to raise the rest of the money. 

Here we go again!
