Challenge Type 1 Diabetes
For 15 years, the JDRF One Ride saw 300 cyclists each year tackle KM challenges in the beautiful Barossa Valley, raising over $14M for type 1 diabetes research. At the end of this epic era and due to the unprecedented times we are experiencing in 2020, we have reimagined how cyclists can come together and not only challenge themselves but challenge type 1 diabetes.
JDRF is the world’s largest funder of type 1 diabetes research and has been involved in every major research breakthrough over the past 45 years. In the 15 years of the One Ride, JDRF-funded research accelerated life-changing breakthroughs for people with type 1 diabetes, dramatically improving the lives of those living with the disease through new treatments, prevention therapies, and continually pursuing our ultimate goal for a cure. Since inception, JDRF Australia has invested more than $280 million into type 1 diabetes research.
