Bicycle mechanics supporting our route do not necessarily have knowledge or the tools required for the electrical component of the bike so may not be able to assist in the event of electrical failure
Batteries on e-bikes will only last a certain distance. Cyclists should know their bike and its range and whether it will be able to go the distance they are attempting to do. Bringing spare batteries is highly recommended.

What are the Ride route sections and what support is there for me on the road?
The Ride route is divided into five sections. Check Points Aid stations will be located at the start and finish of each section at Novotel, Angaston, Springton and Williamstown. Distances between these are:

- Section 2: Angaston to Springton - 27km
- Section 3: Springton to Williamstown - 20km
- Section 4: Williamstown to Novotel - 16km
- Section 5 (Optional): between Novotel and Angaston via Mengler Hill - 23km
Each section will be managed by an experienced Section Manager who will be driving an 11-seater minibus containing St Johns Ambulance personnel medical professionals and a bike mechanic. The bus will also have water and food for Riders if required. This bus will circle its section throughout the day to provide support to all Riders. Riders must always obey Section Manager's instructions. Each aid station will be coordinated by two volunteers and have water, carbo/electrolyte sports drink, fruit, and glucose sweets available for Riders.
The course route will be updated closer to the event date on review of the course manager and may be subject to change based on weather conditions or other factors.
